Marines sack commanding officer after training accident killed 9 in July
Lt. Col. Michael J. Regner, Commanding Officer, Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit was relieved of duty because of loss in trust and confidence in his ability to command after nine members of the military where killed when a Marine landing craft sank in hundreds of feet of water off the Southern California coast in July.
