<strong>New Delhi</strong>: Continuing the upward graph, prices of petrol and diesel were increased again on Sunday in the two major metro cities. In the national capital Delhi, petrol prices witnessed a hike of 16 paise per litre, making the cost Rs. 78.84 per litre, while that of diesel increased by 34 paise making the per litre cost stand at Rs. 70.76. While prices in Mumbai escalated to a record high of Rs. 86.25 (an increase of 16 paise), while that of diesel stands at Rs. 75.12 per litre ( an increase by 0.36 per litre). <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"> <p dir="ltr" lang="en">Price of petrol in Delhi at Rs 78.84/litre (increase by Rs 0.16/litre) and price of diesel at Rs 70.76/litre (increase by Rs 0.34/litre). On August 31, petrol price in Delhi was Rs. 78.52, while that in Mumbai was Rs 85.93/litre. Diesel was sold in Delhi at Rs 70.21/litre, and in Mumbai at Rs 74.54/litre . Prices of CNG and PNG too witnessed a hike in Delhi.
