<p>New Delhi [India], August 22 (ANI): As the nation is celebrating Eid-Al-Azha with great religious zeal and fervour, the sports fraternity extended their warm and cordial wishes on the auspicious occasion.</p><p>From cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar to former German football player Mesut Ozil, all of them took to their social media handles to pour in their Eid wishes.</p><p>Tendulkar took to his Twitter handle and said, \"Eid Mubarak to everyone, in India and around the world, celebrating the festival of Eid al-Adha. May the blessings of the almighty always be with you.\"</p><p>Former cricketer Mohammad Kaif also tweeted, \"Wishing everyone a happy and blessed Eid-ul Adha. May Allah shower all with happiness and peace.\"</p><p>Former Pakistan pacer Waqar Younis also extended his wishes on the occasion, \"May Allah\'s blessings be with you today and always #EidUlAdha Mubarak everyone.\"</p><p>Afghan teen sensation Rashid Khan wrote on the micro-blogging site, \"I want to wish all my family, friends and fans around the world a very happy and peaceful #AkhtarMubarak #EidMubarak.\"</p><p>Indian tennis star Sania Mirza also conveyed her wishes and wrote on her Twitter handle, \"Eid -Ul Adha Mubarak to everyone celebrating today .. peace ,love and happiness.\"</p><p>Former German footballer Mesut Ozil posted a picture of himself on the micro-blogging site and said, \"Eid Mubarak to all of you celebrating today. ???? #EidAlAdha #M1Ö.\"</p><p>Eid al-Adha, also known as \'Sacrifice Feast\' and \'Bakri Eid\' honours the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son, as an act of obedience to God\'s command.
