Asian Games: IOA releases final list of participants

<p>New Delhi [India], July 27 (ANI): The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has released the final list of the participants who will be featuring in the upcoming 18th edition of the Asian Games.</p><p>A total of 541 athletes from India will be seen participating in 37 sports events.</p><p>Athletics will see maximum participation, with a total of 51 players participating in the prestigious tournament. It will be followed by hockey which has 36 players under the category.</p><p>Sambo has the lowest number of participants, with only one male player competing in the event.</p><p>While badminton consists of a 20-member contingent, table tennis will see 10 players participating in the event.</p><p>In 2014, India won a total of 57 medals, including 11 gold, 10 silver and 36 bronze medals.</p><p>On a related note, Asian Games are slated to take place from August 18 to September 2 in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang.
